Emerson to Fortify Its Digital Transformation by Opening a Cybersecurity Lab

Emerson opens its latest cybersecurity lab to help manufacturers boldly adopt digital transformation methods, whereas defending the integrity of their plant operations, networks, systems, and data. The ability, a part of Emerson’s more extensive global cybersecurity network, reinforces Emerson’s commitment to offering the most superior automation options to its prospects worldwide.

The new middle, staffed by a team of cybersecurity experts in Pune, India, builds on present capabilities and additional strengthens Emerson’s know-how portfolio to assist the best levels of product safety across the event lifecycle. The Pune lab will focus on defining security requirements, designing threat models and safety walkthroughs, sustaining safety practices, and simulating cyber-attacks in industrial environments to identify and tackle potential vulnerabilities.

The latest addition to Emerson’s global community of cybersecurity facilities is situated on the Emerson Innovation Centre in Pune, which homes 900 employees focused on innovating for the future and coordinating training for development engineers.

Peter Leonhard

The group employed Peter Leonhard last year as a column lead. Previously he was leading the Natural Gas column, later took the wheel of Power and Energy column. Peter alongside an associate, looks after the functioning of the column. Right from sourcing information to writing news, they both do it all. Peter is also an environmentalist working on the climate crisis.
