IOGCC Chair Christian Wayne Pressing the Government to Oppose the Green New Deal

This week, IOGCC (The Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission) delivered Railroad Commission Chairman Wayne. His decision is pressing the federal government to oppose the Green New Deal in the spirit of cooperative federalism.

Christian mentioned, “Last week, Senator Bernie Sanders revealed his $16.3 trillion Green New Deal plan which might injure our state’s economy by banning the extraction of fossil fuels,”. “As an elected state official commissioned with supervising our state’s natural resource development, it’s my responsibility to stand up for Texas’ Tenth Amendment Rights.”

While discussing the decision, Christian emphasized that the United States has a few of the cleanest air on the planet. From 1970 – 2017, the six major pollutants observed by the EPA have plunged by 73 %, whereas the U.S. economy grew by 262 % and its population by 60 %.

According to the motion plan, IOGCC will send copies of the decision to the President, Vice President, principal administration officers, and Congressional leaders to encourage them to oppose the Green New Deal and any considerably similar laws.
