MAN Energy Solutions tests its newly developed assisted-reality software program, PrimeServ EyeTech, in more than 20 applications for service orders and cooperation with a pilot customer for turbomachinery upkeep and repair.
The remote assist tool enables cellular video conferences to be set up through data glasses. In this way, the technical experts in the MAN Remote Operation facilities can take the client’s perspective without having to be on the website themselves.
PrimeServ EyeTech integrates a safety helmet with a camera, micro screen, microphone, and headphones. The digital camera mounted on the helmet enables the MAN expert to see on display what the technician sees on the website and to guide the technician visually and acoustically during maintenance processes.
