MAN Energy Rolls Out Assisted Reality in Pilot Stage

MAN Energy Solutions tests its newly developed assisted-reality software program, PrimeServ EyeTech, in more than 20 applications for service orders and cooperation with a pilot customer for turbomachinery upkeep and repair.

The remote assist tool enables cellular video conferences to be set up through data glasses. In this way, the technical experts in the MAN Remote Operation facilities can take the client’s perspective without having to be on the website themselves.

PrimeServ EyeTech integrates a safety helmet with a camera, micro screen, microphone, and headphones. The digital camera mounted on the helmet enables the MAN expert to see on display what the technician sees on the website and to guide the technician visually and acoustically during maintenance processes.

“Digitalization becomes very real with PrimeServ EyeTech: Using assisted reality develops a direct buyer benefit. The expertise saves time, money and is sweet for the surroundings as a result of our consultants do not have to journey as a lot,” says Nico Billinger, Head of the Oberhausen Digital Operation Center (ODOC)

. “PrimeServ EyeTech connects our experts with our prospects rapidly and, at a similar time, gives them entry to our worldwide network of specialists.

PrimeServ EyeTech is part of PrimeServ Assist sponsored by MAN CEON, the brand new digital service solution from MAN Energy Options that gives prospects with comprehensive support in a timely manner.
